This plumber, Paul, charged me £385 to replace the bath taps (just the taps, not even the shower head/hose) with £285 paid in advance. He texted, assuring me he would come at 8am on the following day. He did not come and did not turn up until 12pm, no contact made to inform me of the delay. When I called him after waiting two hours, he was even annoyed and kept repeating he was nearby and on his way. He then arrived further two hours later (considering that his business is just a 15 minutes drive from where I live). The job itself was done in a mediocre way, with a rushed, botched fix (he quickly changed the taps, reinstalled the bathtub panel leaving all drenched and dirty floor under, did not give me any chance to clean and applied some silicone in a rush and very badly). While he was working, he had to leave at some point to go and get a new plastic tube to replace the one behind the taps (as he had not realised it was leaking when he first inspected/was supposed to have diagnosed the problem the day before). He even boasted he was not charging me extra for that (for a small plastic tube that costs 1-2 pounds maximum?! Seriously). After, I had to spend over an hour drying and cleaning the mess he left. He did not send any copy of invoice, despite me asking repeatedly so I guess he is not going to pay any taxes on this botched job. This plumber has definitely a long way to go, both in terms of his skills and honesty/manners.

Paul Davies is definitely the most incompetent and unprofessional handyman I have ever seen, other bad plumbers do not even get close. He stood me up a number of times telling all kinds of lies. I wrote a bad review and he finally showed up, which is worse than not showing up. I just need a simple part replaced, he ordered the wrong one, blaming the pipe design for not fitting the wrong part he got, and then he twisted the pipe trying to make it fit the wrong part, ending up breaking the pipe! Now the small issue turns into a big problem, I had to have someone else into fix it. The other plumber agreed with me. If it were not due to Paul’s sloppy work it would be a small fix! Paul is also very unpleasant to work with, with a lot of attitude, brushing me off even when he got the wrong part.

Agreed to do the job, took our keys, never showed up, never gave the keys back. When we ring him he pretends to be someone else and tells us Paul has had an accident. Each time its the same voice, and Paul has had a different accident. Sometimes he admits its Paul and then hangs up. Its like hes trying to get the worst reputation he possibly can. If so, well done.

Caused a leak from the shower which damaged floorboards and skirting.

Horrible experience. He let tenants for over 3 weeks without a boiler. He had massive delays and everyday making excuses. We endup to call someone else.
He also did a mess with the system and had to spend even more money to fix his mess.
